 Better Streets 2 Neighborhoods (BS2N)

In collaboration with Harris County, Precinct 2, and the Public Works Departmnet has initiated a Better Streets 2 Neighborhoods (BS2N) of over 188,000 square feet in different sections within the city. The milling and repaving involve grinding up the existing asphalt and base material, removing it, and applying new pavement. The major benefits of the milling and repavement are to reduce surface roughness and address minor deformations, cracking, and irregularities in the surface pavement resulting in a much smoother drive. Prolonging the life of our city streets saves time and taxpayer money by intervening before full construction is needed.

Dear Citizens,

Harris County Flood Control District has begun cleaning the city’s “Panther Creek” from 15th Street and Leggett to the Houston Ship Channel. The “Harris County Flood Control District utilizes a number of techniques, or primary ‘tools,’ to reduce flood damages throughout the county.”

Thank you, Harris County Flood Control District!
